salieron los pastores yendo por ella
San José, la Virgen, el asno y el buey
fueron los que vieron el niño nacer
Cuando los pastores miraron la estrella
inmediatamente se siguieron por ella
Grande, chiquitico, todo su poder
Bajó a las tierras para fallecer
Mandó perseguir aquel inocente
Por aquella estrella que tiene en la fuente
Cuando el rey Herodes le preguntó del criado
Cómo que se llama esto que ha llegado?
El que no se alegra en esta ocasión
No cree en Dios padre ni en su devoción

This happened long time ago
Without the divine conception, there was not to be [a birth], but the birth was [divine]
The time of birth was approaching
Saint Joseph, his father, did not know what to do
There in a shelter in a nearby manger
And amongst the animals Christ was born
The star was shiny and beautiful
The shepherds followed towards it
Saint Joseph, the Virgin, the donkey and the ox
Were those who saw the child being born
When the shepherds saw the star
Immediately they followed it
Big and tiny, with all his might
He came down to the Earth to die [for our sins]
He [Herod] commanded to pursue that innocent [child]
Towards that star in the sky
King Herod asked about the child
What is the name of this [child] that has arrived?
He who is not happy in this moment
Does not believe in Father God nor in his godliness
